Hi, I'm a digital designer that studied at Belfast School of Art in Interaction Design. I also enjoy a bit of illustration and visual design. Bemind is a mental wellness app designed to help people who are coping with their mental health or just want to be more in touch with their health. Bringing attention to emotions and tracking emotions can help people get control back into their life. Also because I am not a mental professional there will be helplines and information for those suffering to get professional help. The first step is getting help. It’s an app to help people motivated to get help.
This app is solely for people who have got professional help with their mental health. We suggest that you contact your local GP or Counsellor if you feel you are suffering from mental health problems. There is help out there.
Researching about mental health was hard as mental health is quite subjective. My research methodology surrounds both primary and secondary methods of qualitative interviews and questionnaires.
Mental illness is at its highest in years. Our lives have became more complicated. Stress, depression and anixety are what most of us will suffer from. We have technology to help but how to design it to help. People are often scared to talk about mental health due to the taboo that surrounds it. But if we bring more attention to it and create more outlets hopefully we can help people who are suffering.

Starting with research and paper designs I was able to create a basic wireframe for the app, which I got feedback and tested. From feedback and testing I was able to create the project you see today.
I created a prototype of bemind on Adobe XD to show how it would look and feel. From ths project I have used all the years of experience I have gained from my Interaction Design course. Using prototyping tools, user research, brand development and coding, I feel I have created something I am proud to show.
