Hi, my name is Ben Turner and I'm a recent graduate of IXD Belfast. I love designing for niche markets creating beautiful and well-thought-out user interfaces.
The process of development involved a series of UX processes known as UX testing competitor analysis, user stories, and much more. Using these techniques and processes, I was able to develop a fully encompassing product through a series of iterative steps.
The faces I've created are unique, they stand to represent the brand in full, offering designs inspired by Swedish industrial design, German luxury watches, and key British heritage. The main strength of the brand is that it offers a wide range of products, catering to creators and developers. It presents this in such a way so that it looks like a brand that can be considered ‘premium’ and well designed. Another strength of the product is that they support over 20 different smartwatches with circular displays, meaning they have broad compatibility.
Additionally, the 3D aspect of the project was not just a favorite of mine but was pivotal to the final visual aesthetic. Using 3D I was able to present the product like it would be shown in a brochure or a car showroom. The UI design matched the same level of fidelity, with unique layouts containing a well-considered, beautiful use of typographical and color-based hierarchical structures within both the website, the mockup kit, and the faces. This led to the product set becoming something not just that you can use but that it’s something that shows new details every time you look at it.
